Frequently Asked Questions
-
Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another. We'll spend time discussing what brings you to therapy, your current concerns, and what you hope to gain from our work together. I'll also ask questions about your personal history, relationships, medical and mental health history, and any previous therapy experiences to better understand the bigger picture.
This session is also a chance for you to ask questions and determine whether I feel like a good fit for your needs. Therapy is built on trust and collaboration, and finding the right therapeutic relationship is an important part of the process.
By the end of the session, we'll identify some initial goals and discuss recommendations for moving forward. There is no pressure to have everything figured out or know exactly where to start—it's completely okay if you're unsure. We'll work together to make sense of things at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
Initial sessions are typically 50–60 minutes and are $200.

No. Many people begin therapy because they feel overwhelmed, stuck, or simply want to better understand themselves. You don't need to know exactly what's wrong—or even if anything is "wrong" at all.

I work with children, adolescents, and adults experiencing a broad range of emotional, behavioral, and mental health concerns. Common areas of focus include anxiety, trauma, ADHD, emotion regulation difficulties, relationship challenges, grief, life transitions, and personal growth. I also enjoy working with neurodivergent individuals, including those with ADHD, autistic individuals, and those exploring whether they may be neurodivergent. Every person is unique, and treatment is tailored to your individual needs rather than a diagnosis alone.

That's okay.
Many people reach out because they're feeling overwhelmed, confused, or simply curious about whether therapy could help. Our first conversation is a chance to answer your questions, talk about your goals, and determine whether working together feels like the right fit.

You don't have to.
One of the things I enjoy most about therapy is helping people put words to experiences that have felt confusing or difficult to understand. You don't need the "right" language before you begin. We'll figure it out together.
